Hold tight! It will be going live this afternoon!
I have had a great day creating this project for all of you with the amazing Etno Fabrics by Pat Bravo. I want to thank Pat and Art Gallery Fabrics for selecting me to be a part of this blog tour.
The challenge for me was to create something that you can make in a day – for me this can be a problem! Seriously, I like big quilts! I seem to never create anything that you can’t wrap around your whole body…and more! It is part of the reason that I have joined so many swaps lately as it forces me to do some small creative works trying out new techniques and completing something.
When I received my Etno bundle I automatically feel in love with her black and white faces which so reminded me of Picasso! I set out to incorporate it into a project and when I looked to fussy cut some cool pieces out I knew that a modern table runner and optional placemats would be perfect to showcase this fabric as well as using improv piecing and quilting.
I completed it in 4 to 4.5 hours – it is hard to say as I had many interuptions! I am truly a slow sewist so I am sure you could finish it in 3.
Here are two random males holding up the completed table runner as I needed a California photo op! I am posting via mobile and have a “travelling studio” currently.
